Ilanga Consulting Engineers was appointed to deliver the structural engineering services for a new high-capacity water treatment plant in Pretoria North, within the Akasia area. The project formed part of a strategic upgrade to a food manufacturing facility’s water supply infrastructure, ensuring reliable and sustainable access to process water.

Referred to the project by the appointed contractor, Ilanga Consulting Engineers played a key role in both the design and implementation phases. The team was responsible for the structural design and oversight of critical components, including earthworks, foundations, masonry, reinforced concrete structures, and structural steel elements.

Working closely with the project stakeholders, Ilanga ensured that all structural solutions met the stringent operational, durability, and safety requirements associated with industrial water treatment facilities. Our involvement extended throughout construction, providing technical guidance and site oversight to ensure that all works were executed to the highest standards.
