Ilanga Consulting Engineers provided structural engineering services for the design and implementation of two prominent steel canopy structures forming part of the Overkruin Estate entrance upgrade.

The primary structure comprised a landmark structural steel entrance canopy constructed over an existing guard house. The design required careful integration of the new steelwork with the existing facility while complementing the architectural vision for the estate's gateway. The result is a distinctive entrance feature that enhances the estate's identity and creates a strong sense of arrival.

​A key challenge of the project was maintaining uninterrupted access to the estate throughout the construction period. The entrance remained fully operational, requiring careful consideration of construction sequencing and structural implementation to ensure the safe and continuous flow of traffic into and out of the development.
